In Abraham Lincoln's Words

YOU

You cannot bring about prosperity
by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak
by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner
by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man
by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor
by discouraging the rich.
You cannot establish sound security
by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage
by taking away man's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them
what they could and should do for themselves.

Sarah Palin is not fit to be vice president. Abraham Lincoln is weeping in his grave. John McCain and Sarah Palin have brought much shame to his previously proud party.

Abraham Lincoln couldn't be prouder. Shame? I think not.

Oh? Really? I would have thought he would have been ashamed of a party that is still okay with inequality for women in the workplace. I thought he would have been ashamed that the party he ran with still promotes ideas that result in suffering and death for children due to lack of healthcare. You do know that a lot of Abraham Lincoln's family died as a result of normal preventable disease that some people still die of now just because they can't afford preventative care, don't you? Or are you just too ignorant and partisan to see that this is still an issue.

Or maybe you just think like Sarah Palin and John McCain do that life and healthcare are just luxuries. I don't think that's how Abe Lincoln would have wanted things. He used government to help people... not to screw people.
